The Supervisor of Cybersecurity Operations and Monitoring will be responsible for developing TEGNA security architecture. They will responsible for supervising a team that identifies data models and methods for reviewing TEGNA security event information, establishing event baselines and anomaly patterns. In addition, they will be responsible for identifying potential products and services that will support TEGNA IT security requirements.


  • Supervises the Operations and Monitoring team
  • Develops and implements security systems and processes
  • Analyzes security event information to identify security issues and vulnerabilities
  • Researches new security technology and recommends cost effective security solutions
  • Participates on the incident response team and conducts forensic reviews
  • Participates in the development and deployment of cybersecurity awareness training
  • Participates in the development and deployment of cybersecurity policies and standards


  • College or related technical degree with preference for a degree in cybersecurity or information technology
  • Minimum eight years' experience in cybersecurity or information technology
  • Ability to effectively managed a team for security professionals
  • CISSP preferred but not required
  • Ability to prioritize multiple complex tasks/projects and follow through to completion independently or as part of a team.
  • As a member of a service organization, ability to effectively communicate technical topics to various levels of internal customers and outside business partners. Interact with customers with empathy and in a mature and pleasant manner.
  • Ability to think analytically and solve problems creatively.

Travel: Rarely: less than 10%

Work Environment Set: Office: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment

Physical Demands Set: Light work: Involves sitting most of the time, walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc.
