Sr Cybersecurity Engineer

Our Fortune 500 Aerospace Client is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer who will collaborate with a team of security engineers to  continuously improve the cyber-security of services globally. The team's primary responsibility is the design, deployment, and operation of shared cybersecurity infrastructure tools supporting thousands of systems from multiple data-centers and the services they provide  around the globe.  The Cybersecurity Engineer along with the other security team members within the services engineering teams will define the architectural, technical, and procedural changes necessary to support these services. The Senior Cybersecurity Engineer’s role is to:

  • Work on a team to evaluate, test, deploy, and operate appropriate information security systems
  • Provide input to strategic and tactical goals in securing the network and associated systems
  • Research cybersecurity technologies
  • Support system administration for deployed security products
  • Analyze, test, and deploy countermeasures and risk mitigation solutions to reduce the probability of attacks and threats
  • Expand existing knowledge of cyber-security tools, techniques, and procedures including endpoint protection, SIEM, security forensics, dynamic and static application testing, host and network IDS/IPS, threat intelligence, and security incident response.
  • Responsible for the creation of reports and briefings to provide an accurate depiction of the latest threats and security risks
  • Ability to complete multiple projects/assignments concurrently while adjusting to changing priorities


  • Detailed knowledge and hands on working experience in one or more the following:
    • Endpoint security solution
    • File Integrity Management (FIM)
    • Application White / Black listing system
    • The collection and analysis of firewall, network, security appliance, and host logs
    • Computer exploitation methodologies and data correlation through the use of a System Information and Event Management (SIEM)
    • Vulnerability Management System
    • Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) solution
    • Centralized Authentication and Authorization solution
  • Solid written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to present to a variety of audiences
  • Demonstrated experience with major operating systems (ie.  Linux, Windows)

Basic Qualifications:

This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 3 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required.
