Operational Technology Cybersecurity Consultant, Lead

The Opportunity:

This role will allow you to apply your knowledge of cybersecurity to help develop and drive strategies that enable our clients to secure their operational technology (OT) networks, drive down cyber risks,and design and implement OT cybersecurity solutions. In addition to supporting client delivery projects, you will also be responsible for helping to develop proposals and marketing materials, such as slick sheets, infographics, and business development plans.

As part of client delivery, you will be responsible for conducting interviews with business and technology leaders and key client stakeholders, supporting engagement managers, developing strategies, and presenting findings. You'll periodically perform activities such as conducting cybersecurity workshops or performing security assessment activities, which may include physical security walk-downs, observations, technical configuration reviews, and conducting personnel interviews. This position may require moderate travel based on client and project needs. Due to the nature of work performed within this facility, U.S. citizenship is required. This position is a hybrid role with a combination of working at a Booz Allen office or client site and working remotely.

You Have:

  • 8+ years of experience with leading cybersecurity projects, including risk management, vulnerability assessments, security assessments, strategy and program development, network architecture design, and enabling monitoring solutions

  • Experience with leading the development of commercial proposals, marketing materials, and business development

  • Experience with various vendors and types of Industrial Control System (ICS) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) equipment, including PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs

  • Experience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentications systems, log management, and content filtering

  • Experience with cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks

  • Experience with cybersecurity standards, best practices, and integrating them

  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, multi-task, and thrive in a dynamic-high intensity environment

  • Ability to analyze cybersecurity documentation, including security policies, plans, and procedures

  • Ability to analyze and suggest recommended improvements to the industrial control system programs and systems to meet industry standards and best practices

  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience with cybersecurity functions, including risk management, vulnerability assessments, security assessments, strategy, and program development

  • Experience with IEC 62443, NIST SP 800-82, NERC CIP, NEI 08-09, or industrial control regulations

  • Experience with analyzing vulnerability and security risk assessment tool results, including DoD SCAP or Nessus

  • Knowledge of security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentications systems, log management, and content filtering

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity tools, network topologies, intrusion detection, PKI, and secured networks

  • Global Industrial Cybersecurity Professional (GICSP), Certified SCADA Security Architect (CSSA), or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) Certifications

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $106,200.00 to $242,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
