Based in our Boulder, Colorado location, you will be responsible for coordinating and promoting cybersecurity activities across different Flow product groups. The Lead Engineer is responsible for awareness and adoption of cybersecurity development methods that achieve secure product services and solutions. The position understands the driving forces behind organizational behavior and will collect and analyze metrics related to program initiatives and sustaining efforts. The Lead Engineer is a cross business unit central point of coordination for product development processes, policy implementation and compliance through organizing and reporting with various groups of stake holders. This includes establishing, cultivating and managing communities of practices supporting cybersecurity and organizing activities and meetings with decision makers and publishing meeting minutes and artifacts. This position will also coordinate with Automation Solutions Cybersecurity resources to ensure compliance with Emerson and Automation Solution requirements for all Flow products new product development activities, processes, and tools.
AS A LEAD CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER, YOU WILL:
Coordinate and manage implementation of Secure Development Lifecycle efforts
Participate in New Product Development process audits assessments
Participate in key projects as cybersecurity functional representative
Work with business units to inventory products and assist in prioritizing risk
Organize and manage product Risk Assessments and Threat Modeling efforts
Assist in organizing activities including Cybersecurity Board, Cybersecurity Team and program meetings to expand and sustain efforts across business units, groups and Flow Solutions platform
Create, organize and participate in cross functional and business unit communities to promote the adoption of cybersecurity best practices
Maintain relative artifacts and central repository of communications and information for Automation Solutions Cybersecurity function and teams
Assist with analyzing relative cybersecurity market and technology trends
Assists with identifying relative training and development needs for various organizational functions specific to cybersecurity roles and functions and maintaining metrics on coverage
Maintain familiarity with industry standards such as IEC 62443 (ISA99) and ISO/IEC 27001
Establish and enhance strong relationships with Business Unit team members, adjacent organizational functions, and business partners
Establish and coordinate training activities for design and test engineers, marketing engineers, and others as needed involved in cybersecurity new product development, internal and external communications, and cyber threat response.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent years of experience
- 3 years of experience and familiarity with cybersecurity standards and initiatives or practical work experience related to the implementation of cybersecurity product solutions.
- Familiar with concepts such as "defense in depth" and Secure Development Lifecycle.
- Familiar with Microsoft tools for effective communications and information management.
- Experience with Project Management and Development processes
- Ability to organize, prepare and make compelling presentations
- Self-motivated and able to work under tight timeline
- Strong problem solving / interaction management skills
- Strong organizational and collaboration skills
- Up to 25% travel expected
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:
- Risk Management Framework and Processes experience
- Experience with cybersecurity standards (e.g. IEC 62443)
- Knowledge of security standards and technology trends in cybersecurity, including those specific to control systems and related products
- Experience in software security design principles, best practices and the integration of security into preexisting development practices
- Experience working with recognized IT Security related standards and technologies

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the salary range for this role is $102,500 - $167,100 annual, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to this role.
