RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in NYC that is seeking a Junior Cyber Security Analyst. In this role, the Junior Cyber Security Analyst will assist in planning, implementing, upgrading, or monitoring security measures for the protection of computer networks, systems, and information.

Responsibilities:

• The Junior Cyber Security Analyst provides effective front-line support for monitoring, detecting and responding to threats, anomalies and deficiencies in the environment
• Create, update and close out investigation tickets for cybersecurity activities, alarms, etc.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge on cyber threats including those published by Threat Intel sources such as the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA)
• Examines security log information to determine trends and identify security incidents or areas for improvement
• Assists in responding to audits, penetration tests and vulnerability assessments
• Assists with updating and creating departmental policies and procedures
• Assists in conducting technical compliance assessments of information systems in accordance with established standards
• The Junior Cyber Security Analyst will implement security solutions and updates in computers and networks
• Provide on-call weekend support on a rotating schedule
