Location 1 vacancy in the following location: Washington, DC * Telework eligible Yes-as determined by the agency policy. * Travel Required Occasional travel - Occasional, you may be expected to travel for this position. * Relocation expenses reimbursed No * Appointment type Permanent * Work schedule Full-time * Service Competitive * Promotion potential None * Job family (Series) 2210 Information Technology Management * Supervisory status No * Security clearance * Drug test Yes * Position sensitivity and risk Special-Sensitive (SS)/High Risk * Trust determination process Credentialing National security * Announcement number JMD-CIO-22-11454263 DHA R * Control number 650292100 Duties * Responsible for enforcing, monitoring, and assessing the effectiveness of the Assessment and Authorization, Information System Continuous Monitory Authorization to Operate, and Ongoing Authorization programs. * Responsible for managing the Cybersecurity Policy and Guidance documents by standardizing and formalizing processes, standard operating procedures, annual updates and maintenance of existing policy, guidance, and standards. * Manage work involved in the end-to-end development of new policy, guidance, or standards based on new federal mandates (OMB Memorandums, DHS CISA BDs/Eds, Executive Orders, etc.) * Assist with Department Vulnerability Disclosure Program, tracking the Continuous Assessment program, and ensuring Component review, remediation, and validation of vulnerabilities. * Manage work involved with completing Department cybersecurity audits (FISCAM, FISMA, GAO, etc.), coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely review and submission of all audit requirements, track findings and remediation of issued recommendations. Qualifications To qualify for the position of IT Cybersecurity Specialist at (GS-2210-14), you must meet the basic qualification requirements listed below AND possess the required specialized experience specific to this series and grade. AND Specialized Experience Statement: For the GS-14 grade level or equivalent pay band, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or equivalent pay band in the Federal service. At a minimum, specialized experience must be in or related to developing Information Technology (IT) goals, objectives, plans, and policies AND supporting cybersecurity audits, oversight of cybersecurity projects, and providing general cybersecurity guidance to management.
