The public U.S. Citizens, Nationals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Clarification from the agency All U.S. Citizens Videos Duties The primary purpose of the position is to serve as a IT Cybersecurity Specialist (Policy and Planning) Typical work assignments include Defines and manages information technology (IT) andor cybersecurity related programs andor projects, or other area of responsibility, to include strategic direction for program initiatives and activities, personnel, infrastructure, policy enforcement, emergency planning, IT andor cybersecurity awareness, andor other resources. Provides oversight to ensure programproject work is adhering to the larger strategic view developed by senior management at DHS and serves as the Point of Contact for elevating unexpected issues that may arise to senior leadership. Responsible for programproject resources, allocation plans workforce development plans, budget forecasts, initiatives, and policies. Manage one or more large information technology program(s) to provide products andor services. Coordinates, communicates and integrates IT projects and program activities. Qualifications You qualify for this position if you possess information technology related experience demonstrating each of the four required competencies Attention to Detail Customer Service Oral Communication Problem Solving In addition to the above requirement you qualify for the GS-13 position if you have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level performing the following duties Expertise in coordinating with sub-division and division planners, operators, andor analysts to develop decision making tools for leadership-including project plans, briefings, and executive summaries or reports. Develop and integrate operational plans that effectively provide the landscape for appropriate risk reduction, mitigation, incident response and recovery from cyber threats. Establishes metrics to measure and evaluate systems and operational performance. you qualify for the GS-14 position if you have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level performing the following duties Expertise in coordinating with sub-division and division planners, operators, andor analysts to develop decision making tools for leadership-including project plans, briefings, and executive summaries or reports. Develop and integrate operational plans that effectively provide the landscape for appropriate risk reduction, mitigation, incident response and recovery from cyber threats. Leads the development of deliberate and crisis action plans with external partners, including intelligence community, law enforcement, DOD, and private sector.
