Location 1 vacancy in the following location: Boston, MA * Remote job No * Telework eligible Yes-as determined by the agency policy. * Travel Required 25% or less - You may be expected to travel for this position. * Relocation expenses reimbursed No * Appointment type Permanent - * Work schedule Full-time - * Service Competitive * Promotion potential None * Job family (Series) 2210 Information Technology Management * Supervisory status No * Security clearance * Drug test Yes * Position sensitivity and risk Special-Sensitive (SS)/High Risk * Trust determination process Suitability/Fitness * Announcement number IOD-DE-12114664-23-TH * Control number 747613300 Duties Typical work assignments include: * Communicate the value of Information Technology (IT) security throughout all levels of the organization's stakeholders. * Define and manage IT and/or cybersecurity related programs and projects to include program initiatives and activities and cybersecurity awareness. * Consult with stakeholders to evaluate functional cybersecurity requirements and translate requirements into technical solutions. * Coordinate federal interagency cyber incident response, handling, requests for technical assistance, and reports. * Build cybersecurity coalitions amongst the federal interagency to promote information sharing, reduce duplication, and improve the cybersecurity services provided by federal agencies. * Provide situational awareness and cyber incident forensics and mitigation assistance to federal cyber officials in support of stakeholders. * Analyze cyber threat intelligence from multiple sources to advise federal cyber officials on courses of action to reduce cyber vulnerabilities. * Notify private and public sector stakeholders of potential cyber vulnerabilities and provide guidance on options to mitigate. * Present findings of cyber incidents and analyses to senior federal officials * Participate as a presenter in regional seminars, symposia, and meetings relating to cybersecurity. A final offer of employment is contingent upon a negative drug test result. After appointment, you may be subject to periodic random drug testing. * You must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance suitable for Federal employment as determined by a background investigation. This may include a credit check, a review of financial issues, as well as certain criminal offenses and illegal use or possession of drugs. * One-year probationary period may be required. * This position may be designated as essential personnel. Essential personnel must be able to serve during continuity of operation events without regard to declarations of liberal leave or government closures due to weather, protests, and acts of terrorism or lack of funding. Qualifications To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying: Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Basic Requirements AND Minimum Qualification requirements as listed below. IN ADDITION TO MEETING THE BASIC REQUIREMENTS ABOVE, YOU MUST ALSO MEET THE FOLLOWING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: GS-13 You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level (or equivalent) performing the following duties: * Providing oversight of multiple IT projects to include benefits management, life cycle management, and program governance; * Applying IT cybersecurity program management and project management principles and techniques; AND * Offering routine policy guidance to cyber management, staff, and users.
