Position purpose

Reporting to the Director Information and Cybersecurity, the Information and Cybersecurity Manager has responsibility for assisting in the designing and implementation of IT security systems to protect our clients computer networks from cyber-attacks and reduce IT risk. The Cybersecurity Manager will implement organizational wide best practices for security and monitor computer networks for security issues, provide expertise of security software and document all security issues or breaches. Additionally, the Manager will facilitate the Change, Vendor, Incident, and Vulnerability management programs.

  • Support the Director to ensure the cybersecurity program remains in compliance with our clients and regulatory (HIPAA) requirements.
  • Lead/Manage/Mentor direct reports on daily security and network operation requirements.
  • Provide technical knowledge, architecture, installation, configuration, and/or operation support for enterprise security solutions across the entire lifecycle for all security solutions including provisioning, securing, monitoring, remediating, reporting, ticketing as well as the integration and automation of these various solutions.
  • Ensure the implementation of business practices while taking ownership of projects and engagement with managed service providers.
  • Lead the Cybersecurity Incident Management and Incident Response processes for all security incidents, processes, and escalations to determine the root cause and extent of the incidents to include follow up preventative procedures.
  • Serve as Change Manager for the Enterprise.
  • Conduct risk assessments and maintain security related documentation for the Vendor Management program.
  • Analyze IT requirements and provide expert advice on the use of IT security requirements
  • Design, analyze, and implement efficient IT Security systems.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.



  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other technical/scientific discipline or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years IT security related work; preferred 3+ years leading teams.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, CCSP or equivalent certification required.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Solid understanding of security principles including logical access controls, change control, least privilege, computer operations, network security, vendor, and vulnerability management.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management Framework (NIST SP 800-37 and SP 800-39).
  • Knowledge of compliance programs such as HIPAA, SOC, SOX, HITRUST, PCI-DSS
  • Ability to lead and motivate technically skilled reports.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated administration of security platforms and security related best practices.
  • Technical proficiency in encryption, Windows, Linux, Mac, OSX, PowerShell, and scripting (Python).
  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both an operational and tactical level.
  • Experience in developing and deploying security specific solutions including the automation of repeatable security tasks and controls.
  • Expert knowledge of security documentation processes (workflow or technical diagrams).
  • Strong experience in Security Configuration and Change Management.
  • Knowledge of firewalls, antivirus and IDPS concepts.
  • High level of knowledge of Microsoft, Linux, and OSX.
  • Experience with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools, workflow, and automation.
  • Lead, participate, and provide guidance and recommendations on projects, as assigned.
  • Experience with security vulnerability and penetration tools, remediation, and processes.
