*Job Title :*Cybersecurity Specialist Intern*Position Type:*Student*Division:*Academic Affairs*Department:*Security Studies and Criminal Justice*Job Description:** The KBH Regional Security Operations Center Cybersecurity Analyst Intern position is an excellent opportunity to gain tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 Cybersecurity Analyst experience. The center will provide real-time network security monitoring to detect and respond to network security events that may jeopardize this state and the residents of this state. Duties may include, but are not limited to:* Monitor event logs for potential security threats* Investigate and respond to security events* Monitor traffic logs using Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools and conduct analysis* A large portion of this position will be spent working with a team and training on a Security Information and Event Management tool alongside a Security Operations Center Manager and Cybersecurity Analysts. * Work location is in the Vincent building and must be conducted on campus. * Online cybersecurity training will be provided as well as access to certificate training courses.* Performs other duties as assigned.*Required Qualifications:** Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes.*Preferred Qualifications:** Qualified candidates will have a background in security, cybersecurity, or computer science as well as the ability to work in a team-driven environment with strong work ethic.* Any experience with the following would be preferred but not required:* Network security* Cybersecurity* Databases* Programming*Salary:*$13.00*Number of Vacancies:*20*Open Date:*01/02/2023*Open Until Filled:*Yes
