Job Summary: The Cybersecurity Specialist – IRM is responsible for assisting with understanding the unique challenges presented by third-party cybersecurity risk and helping to create solutions for Hiring Clients across all industries and regions. The position requires that one be a self-starter, possess excellent organizational skills, be detail oriented, and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

1.0 Primary Duties & Responsibilities

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Ability to develop and present third-party cybersecurity risk management strategy to business stakeholders and Hiring Clients

  • Identify key third-party cybersecurity risk management metrics and KPIs

  • Provide insight and expertise into industry trends, solutions, and regulations including, but not limited to, NIST, CIP-013, CMMC, ISO, GDPR

  • Travel to meet with existing and prospective clients as the cybersecurity risk management Subject Matter Expert

  • Develop third-party cybersecurity risk program templates, tools, procedures, and processes and updates as necessary for Hiring Clients

  • Design and maintain third-party cybersecurity risk program tools, such as cybersecurity risk scorecards, risk assessments, workflows, reports, and process improvement initiatives for Hiring Clients

  • Partner and collaborate with Legal, Corporate IT, Products Security and other teams as needed

  • Research, develop, implement, and help maintain program to analyze third-party cybersecurity risk on behalf of Hiring Clients

  • Complete information security review including assessment of third-party documentation such as SOC reports, incident response plans and Cloud security protocols

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain third-party cybersecurity risk management life cycle to include planning, due diligence, negotiation, ongoing monitoring, and termination of relationships

  • Support and participate in the organization’s Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives

  • All employees have a professional duty to provide any information related to security issues, incidents or situations that present a potential security risk to the ISO Team, Management or their Supervisor

  • Other tasks and projects as directed by management

2.0 Requirements

2.1 Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience in a relevant field

  • Related cybersecurity insurance or risk management certification in the following areas preferred

    • Cloud based technology certification, Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager (CRVPM), Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Third Party Risk Professional (CTPRP), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA)

2.2 Knowledge and Skills

  • 3+ years’ experience in cybersecurity insurance or third-party risk management

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity regulations, laws, and standards

  • Understanding of current and emerging cybersecurity risks, frameworks, and methods

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and e-mail applications

  • Proven ability to manage complex projects

  • Desire to assume increasing levels of responsibility

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
