The Opportunity: Cyber threats are everywhere, and the constantly evolving nature of these threats can make understanding them seem overwhelming to government agencies. In all of this "cyber noise," how can these organizations understand their risks and how to mitigate them? The answer is you-an information security risk specialist who will break down complex threats into manageable plans of action. As an information security risk specialist on our team, you'll use your experience to work with Navy programs to discover their cyber risks, understand applicable policies, and develop a mitigation plan. You'll review technical, environmental, and personnel details from engineers and SMEs to assess the entire threat landscape. Then, you'll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones. You'll work with your client to translate security concepts, so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission-critical networks and systems. This is your opportunity to act as an information security subject matter expert while broadening your skills in cybersecurity, security and network tools, systems engineering, and data science. You Have: * 5+ years of experience with complex cybersecurity projects and integrated systems * Experience with the Risk Management Framework ( RMF ) and the Assessment and Authorization ( A& A ) activities needed to obtain and maintain an Authorization to Operate ( ATO ) * Experience with developing risk management artifacts, including security assessment plans, systems security plans, and plans of action and milestones * Experience with cyber hardening, vulnerability management, scanning, assessment, and asso cia ted tools * Experience briefing senior leadership on complex cybersecurity issues * Ability to analyze and communicate complex te chn ical challenges to both te chn ical and non-te chn ical clients and stakeholders * Secret clearance * Bachelor's degree * CompTIA Security+ Certification to meet DoD 8140 compliance Nice If You Have: * Experience with DOD or Navy cybersecurity and acquisition processes and the Navy Cyber Test and Evaluation (T&E) six-phase process * Experience with penetration testing * Experience with technical writing and drafting acquisition documents to include the Cybersecurity Strategy and Clinger Cohen Act (CCA) compliance and the application of technical subject matter expertise to system engineering and acquisition documentation * Experience with military GPS, Navy Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) systems and distribution, and timing technologies * Experience drafting cybersecurity requirements and contract language , cyber resilience and cyber survivability requirements , cybersecurity management tools, and security tools and devices, including network firewalls, web proxies, int rus ion prevention systems, vulnerability scanners, or penetration tools * Knowledge of Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) * Top Secret clearance * Master's degree * CISSP Certification * Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $58,300.00 to $133,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. Work Model
