JOB DUTIES –

As part of the CyberSecurity Division with direct report to the Cybersecurity Division Chief - Resource shall provide information systems security engineering or architecture assistance consisting of the following tasks:

  • Resource will act as lead Cybersecurity Engineer, assuming the responsibilities as outlined in AR 25-2. 
  • Resource will assist customers in developing and maintaining a secure Cybersecurity Baseline that meets RMF for DOD IT and other certifications and specifications as required.
  • Resource will update and/or assist the hosted system's personnel in updating artifacts of the accreditation package and store the artifacts in organizationally defined repository; i.e., system diagram (logical and physical) Hardware/Software/Firmware Inventory, Interface & Ports, Protocols and Services listing, etc.
  • Resource will assist in the preparation of network infrastructure specifications or designs incorporating required information security features.
  • Resource will review and evaluate Information Systems Design Plans, Continuity of Operation Plans, Communication Plans, engineering change proposals and configuration changes for compliance with relevant security regulations, policies, and best industry practice.

Required skills:  

  • Minimum of 4 years of Senior-level Cybersecurity engineering experience completing the above specified tasks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects
  • Experience automating routine administrative tasks
  • Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies
  • Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
  • DoD 8570.1M IAM level III (i.e., CISSP-ISSAP or CISSP-ISSEP) certification is required.  
    • Resource must possess both Baseline and Computing Environment certification as defined in DoD Instruction 8570.01M. 
  • The Computing Environment certification can include CompTIA Server+, Microsoft, RedHat, or Solaris

Network Administrator JOB DUTIES:

  • Build new cloud based data center services environments for DoD cloud initiatives.
  • Assist with identifying and planning potential new cloud services, features, and capabilities. 
  • Serve as overall subject matter expert on Network Administrator technology and market capabilities/trends.
  • Design and implement secure network and application delivery solutions providing high availability to hosted customer applications.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to network and application performance to assist in resolving issues impacting hosted applications.
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to transform high-level technical objectives into comprehensive technical requirements.
  • Formulate detailed network, storage, and compute design specifications for stable and secure computing operations in a dynamic cloud based environment.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to security, scalability, manageability, and performance across a wide variety of network, storage, and compute technologies.

Network Administrator Required skills:  

  • Mid to senior level Network Administrator experience in a cloud environment
  • Security+ (Or equivalent IA cert) and computing environment certification (i.e. CCNA, CCNP, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience effectively managing multiple large-scale projects
  • Experience automating routine administrative tasks desired
  • Understanding of network, storage, server, and application technologies
  • Strong understanding of fundamental network concepts and technologies
  • Understanding of common network services (DNS, SNMP, NTP, etc.) and application protocols (HTTP, SSL) – preferred
  • Ability to analyze packet captures to troubleshoot common network and application issues
  • Strong knowledge of automation concepts, tools, and scripting languages (Ansible, Puppet, Chef, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of DoD STIGs, and IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM) - preferred
