An employer is looking for a Cybersecurity Ops Manager in the Los Angeles, CA area. This is a hybrid role and the individual must work on-site once per week. The Cybersecurity Ops Manager will play a pivotal role in safeguarding digital assets, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the company's sensitive information. This person will lead a team of 6-7 cybersecurity individuals and collaborate closely with multiple departments to design, implement, and manage comprehensive cybersecurity strategies and initiatives. This role is approximately 90% people management and 10% hands on technical, however your technical ability must still be very strong to be able to jump in to help whenever needed. Your expertise will be critical in identifying and mitigating potential security risks, staying ahead of emerging threats, and maintaining compliance with industry regulations. We are looking for a strong leader who has proven success leading a group of individuals while creating a culture of continuous learning. He/She must stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, technologies, and threats to proactively assess potential risks and recommend appropriate countermeasures. This will include overseeing the implementation and maintenance of security tools, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies. Must also have plenty of experience conducting regular security assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify and address potential weaknesses in systems and applications.

-Bachelor's Degree in IT

-CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)

-Experience in the Healthcare industry
-HS Diploma/GED equivalent

-5+ years experience within cybersecurity with a strong technical background

-2+ years experience in a Manager position with a proven track record as a successful leader

-Experience with risk management, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessment

-Prior experience in incident response and crisis management
