Job Summary of the Cybersecurity Manager:
Cybersecurity Manager with 6+ years of experience with cyber security applications for devices is required to play a key role in developing cyber risk strategies and multi-year implementation and remediation programs based on business priorities and risks for one of best clients in MA. This is a stable, rapidly growing company with a well known brand for the electric power industry. In this role you will be responsible for cyber security strategies, initiatives, engineering support and plans to develop new markets. If you have very solid cyber security application experience along with the unique blend of technical, business development and management skills, then this position is well suited to you.
 
The current cybersecurity team is smaller now, and will be growing over the coming years.  This position offers the opportunity to guide and manage that growth.
 
 
Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Manager:

  • Work on cyber security strategies, initiatives, engineering support and plans to develop new markets.
  • Assist clients in developing cyber risk strategies and multi-year implementation and remediation programs based on business priorities and risks
  • Advise clients in developing and tailoring of approaches, methods and tools to support cyber risk programs and initiatives
  • Lead, manage and collaborate in the development of the company’s Center of Excellence for cybersecurity
  • Operate across both technical and management leadership capacities
  • Remain current on industry trends in cyber risk with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO27001/2, NIST cyber security framework, NERC CIP, NERC PRC)
  • Work collaboratively with senior cyber security stakeholders
  • Present and obtain buy-in for overarching cyber risk strategies from Executive Leadership
  • Build solid, trust-based relationships with client stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with the client to identify and solve key constraints, risks and issues
  • Develop quality and meaningful deliverables that suit specific client needs
  • Communicate with clients in an organized and knowledgeable manner
  • Demonstrate flexibility in prioritizing and completing tasks
  • Coordinate/manage cyber projects across multiple verticals and contracts
  • Build business in cyber security products
  • Conduct Cyber presentations and workshops
  • Lead a team of technical experts based at multiple locations
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the SR Director of Solutions

 
 

Qualifications of the Cybersecurity Manager:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. PhD preferred
  • 5+ years of experience with technology engineering and product development
  • 5 + years of experience with cyber security applications. 
  • Background in the power utility sector is a strong plus, with knowledge in industry standards
  • Have a nique blend of technical, business development and management skills including the ability to simultaneously plan and implement projects as well as provide leadership and direction.
  • Experience in communicating IT security concepts
  • Experience in defining and deploying cyber security strategies and programs for large and complex organizations
  • Experience in defining and implementing cyber risk management and governance models
  • Strong experience in technology-based tools or methodologies to review, design and/or implement enterprise programs
  • Knowledge of the power industry market in relation to utility security, maintenance and testing of equipment
  • Must have demonstrated ability to influence, negotiate and understand practices/protocols in global environment
  • Strong expertise in four or more of following areas:
    • Risk Management
    • Cyber risk strategy
    • Cyber risk program management and delivery
    • Cyber security operations
    • Security architectures
    • Security technologies (e.g., firewalls, security event monitoring, intrusion detection and prevention)
    • Data protection
    • SCADA architectures
    • NERC CIP Standards compliance

 

 
Compensation of the Cybersecurity Manager:
Salary Range:  $150,000-175,000/year, depending on experience

Location: Marlborough, MA
Type:  Direct
Travel: As and when required. Up to 30%
