​GDIT is searching for an intern to support the design, build out, and testing of the GDIT Cybersecurity Lab - a state of the art lab designed to create, evaluate, and prove security methods across the cybersecurity spectrum.

This program will help you to develop best in class technical skills while working on mission-critical work.

Cyber Security Intern Responsibilities

Partnering with senior cyber engineers who are involved in developing a state of the art Cybersecurity stack that will be used to secure our nation’s most sensitive cloud projects.

The Intern may also generate scripts or augment existing cyber analytical tools to obtain relevant data and parse it into necessary export formats; evaluate data, identify relationships, and then develop models to evaluate our assumptions and evaluate open-source cyber analytical tools and document their capabilities. 

Furthermore, the candidate will be responsible for assisting with the development of training material for Cyber ranges, participating in Hack-a-thons, capture-the-flag and other relevant security competitions, and making recommendations on the implementation of best practices to train future employees.

Experience with cloud technology is a plus.

The intern will also have an opportunity to complete training courses towards the SEC+ certification.  

Education Requirements:  

Currently pursuing an Associate's, Bachelor's or Master's degree from a United States-based college or university with an IT related major and cybersecurity studies.

Qualifications:

Problem-solving and analytical skills, experience with Linux OS, and familiar with Python or similar language will be a major plus. Organization:  Effective oral and written communications, Ability and willingness to work alongside senior team members and managers to further professional development.
