Our Impact:

As part of Freddie Mac’s Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), the Information Risk Management Team provides 2nd Line of Defense oversight of the company’s Cybersecurity and Identity Access Management (IAM) efforts.

We are looking for a team member who can join us in supporting the development, validation and monitoring of capabilities and requirements.

Your Impact:

By bringing your expertise and skills to our team, you will be able to impact the development and execution of the oversight efforts and provide support for the core functions within ERM.

Your responsibilities will fall into two primary categories:

Cybersecurity and IAM Risk Management

  • Enhancing and maturing Risk Management practices across the enterprise by leading the development and execution of oversight activities and requirements defined in enterprise policy, standards, and guidance documents
  • Supporting the development of key controls to monitor compliance and risk
  • Supporting the identification of top and emerging risks
  • Providing risk management consultation to lines of businesses and staff groups
  • Execute risk analytics and reporting
  • Develop effective and measurable KRI, KPI and KCI

Leadership/Oversight

  • Collaborating with key risk areas, business partners, and IT counterparts to develop an actionable view of Cybersecurity and IAM risk
  • Support the Director in leading and managing the team
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to staff
  • Autonomously lead program execution with documented project plans, expectations and schedule, and provide status reports, escalation and impediment resolution when needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; Master’s Degree preferred
  • Some industry leading Certifications preferred: CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CISM, CEH, and/or CIPT
  • Experience in general IT Risk Management methodologies and principles
  • Strong project management skills preferred. Agile experience is a plus
  • 5 years+ experience with relevant functional areas to include financial services & information technology
  • Cloud migration, security and access management experience preferred
  • Diverse expertise and experience in various Cyber disciplines such as:
  • Cloud and Modern Delivery (Container, DevOps, AWS, etc.) Security
  • Build & Release (BaR) Process Management
  • Cyber Solutions Architecting
  • Cyber Monitoring Program (SOC, Intel, Forensics)
  • Vulnerability and Risk Management
  • Network and System Security
  • Incident & Intelligence Management
  • Microservices design and security
  • Virtual environment security – vSphere, Hypervisor

Keys to Success in this Role:

  • Cybersecurity risk management, regulatory and operational risk management practices
  • Direct experience with IT, privacy, data and management practices / processes
  • Cybersecurity Operations (SOC), processes, tools and activities in large enterprises
  • Independent judgment, strong analytical and project management skills, good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with risk assessments; proficiency in risk and control data analysis, the ability to incorporate and understand mass information from a variety of sources to recommend a course of action
