Shenandoah University is seeking a dynamic and versatile individual with a love of teaching to support our Cybersecurity and Computer Science programs based at the Winchester campus. Post-docs are encouraged to apply. The position will commence in August of 2022. The Division of Applied Technology at Shenandoah University is growing and welcomes those who value collaboration and innovation.
In addition to university service and research expectations and depending on the candidate's areas of expertise, duties will include:
Teaching undergraduate Cybersecurity, Networking and Database courses.
Some teaching in the Information Technology and Computer Science program as required
Advising Cybersecurity students
Developing relations with industry to support student internships and other joint opportunities
Teaching assignments will likely include both online and in-person classes. While most classes will be taught at the undergraduate level, some graduate level teaching may be required.
Qualifications for this position include outstanding industry experience and/or an earned masters or Phd in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of operating systems, cybersecurity tools, and modern best practices. Industry certifications and cloud computing security experience are a plus. Candidates who are ABD or post-docs are encouraged to apply.
*Salary will be commensurate with credentials and experience and relocation expenses may be available depending on circumstances.
