Our work depends on a TS/SCI cleared Cybersecurity Engineer joining our team to support our customer in Aberdeen, MD. HOW A CYBERSECURITY ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT General Description: The ideal candidate will demonstrate most of the following capabilities and knowledge areas: * software and systems engineering and software systems research to develop new capabilities, ensuring cybersecurity is fully integrated.
* Conducting comprehensive technology research to evaluate potential vulnerabilities in cyberspace systems.
* Designing, developing, testing, and evaluating information system security throughout the systems development life cycle.
* Testing, implementing, deploying, maintaining, and administering the infrastructure hardware and software
* Conducting risk assessment and provides recommendations for application design
* Responsible for the full range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access
* Using and employment of encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research.
* Design and develop new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks
* Ensure the success of logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
* Integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures, design cybersecurity architectural artifacts, provide architectural analysis and relate existing system to future needs and trends
* embed advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction, provides engineering recommendations, and resolves integration/testing issues
* Has developed trusted relationships with customers; May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals; May serve as a team or task lead. Specific Description: Experience in heterogeneous computer networking technology and work in protocol and/or interface standards specification is preferred. Analyzes and resolves INFOSEC technical problems. Configures testbeds and conducts testing, records and analyzes results, and provides recommendations for improvements for the products/systems under test. Areas of focus include Guard, Firewall, Secure Network Server, PCMCIA format, security solutions, "Smart Cards", and emerging technologies and future trends. Supports the integrations of INFOSEC solutions and technologies into networks with particular attention to protocols, interfaces, and system design. Must have knowledge of TCP/IP, information security/authorization profiles, or security administration of Unix or NT network/systems. Must have knowledge of Government security policies and familiarity with security-related technologies and auditing tools. Must be capable of providing security engineering analysis on a variety of information systems. Must be capable of developing security accreditation/certifications documentation and creating maintaining security policy and procedures. Must be capable of performing security certification engineering analysis, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments. Must be capable of designing and configuring security tools. Must be capable of developing test procedures, establishing test environment, executing security certification test/demonstrations/evaluations, documenting results, and developing reports, conclusions, and recommendations. Must be capable of conceptualizing and implementing security systems and architectures. Specific Position Requirements: * Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Sciences, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or similar fields of study and 8+ years of relevant technical experience
* Certifications required: CompTIA Security+
* Certifications Preferred: CompTIA Security+; IAT II Certification
