We are seeking a motivated Cybersecurity Engineer for our Section in the Cybersecurity and Technical Collaborative Centers Group (JAF) in the National Security Analysis Department (NSAD). The Cybersecurity Engineer has responsibilities for day-to-day operations within several NSAD technical collaborative DCSA Approved Areas, as well as assist with other NSAD highly secure facilities in support of the NSAD mission, programs and sponsor tasking. As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will... * Provide technical, logistical, operational, and security knowledge in leading, handling and coordinating NSAD's Information Technology (IT), using current APL, NISPOM, Risk Management Framework (RMF), DoD requirements, and sponsor directives.
* Design, develop and maintain security documentation in accordance with DoD and DCSA requirements.
* Be a key member of NSADs Vulnerability Management Program.
* Be a member of a complementary team of technical staff that supports IT compliance and documentation for NSADs facilities.
* Work as an Assistant Information System Security Officer (AISSO). Qualifications You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you ... * Hold a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Science, or another related field, or have commensurate experience. * Have at least three years of relevant cybersecurity experience, including but not limited to, ISSO functions, auditing, cybersecurity policy creation and enforcement, risk management, and/or system administration.
* Have a Security+ CE certification or any other DoD 8570 IAT/IAM Level 2 baseline certification.
* Are able to communicate and liaison with all levels of APL staff and sponsors through a demonstrated strength in communication skills; both verbal and written. * Have a proven track record of customer service success through building coalitions and consensus. * Have experience with Vulnerability Management.
* Have experience in working through security audits and compliance.
* Are able to independently analyze and identify program related cybersecurity requirements and quickly develop processes or solutions to address logistical issues as they arise.
* Can be proficient in security requirements and standards under the cognizance of Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).
* Have a willingness to work full time in a DCSA Approved Area/Closed area.
* Hold an active Secret security clearance and can ultimately obtain a TS/SCI level clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility requirements include U.S. citizenship. * Can demonstrate that you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. * Professional certifications in IT compliance or cybersecurity such as a CISSP or CISM. * Have at least five years of cybersecurity experience including but not limited to ISSO functions, auditing, cybersecurity policy creation and enforcement, risk management, and/or system administration.
* An understanding of procurement and budgetary management processes.
