Local Unit & Position Description
DNV Energy Systems' Markets & Risk is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant- Industrial Control Systems (ICS) to join our growing team conducting risk and vulnerability assessments and cybersecurity consultation of renewable and non-renewable energy generation, storage, and transmission infrastructure.

This position will ideally be based in our Houston (TX), Seattle (WA), Medford (MA), San Diego (CA) or Chalfont (PA) offices. Other office locations or remote work may be considered for the right candidate.
The position requires an estimated 25% travel to other DNV offices and customer locations with performance of technical cybersecurity assessments in industrial settings.

What You'll Do
Cyber Risk & Vulnerability Assessments Conduct cybersecurity risk and vulnerability assessments to identify cybersecurity concerns in client interconnected Information and Operation Technology environments
Prepare reports and presentations for clients covering operations methodology, findings, and actionable recommendations
Develop & refine processes and techniques to conduct control system cybersecurity validation and testing
Collaborate with global cyber and engineering colleagues to build interpersonal relationships, provide guidance to engineers, consultants, and project managers to develop customer solutions
Provide direct consultation with clients to enable support along our continuum of cybersecurity services
Be a company and industry advocate through outreach efforts focused on energy and cybersecurity -specific joint industry collaboration opportunities

Business Development Develop positive relationships with new clients through outreach efforts and partner with key account managers to identify cybersecurity needs of existing clients
Participate in the sales process to identify client needs, build cost estimates, bid/proposal development and closing the sales process
Generate leads by attending and presenting at relevant industry and technical conferences, networking events and through their existing professional network

Position Qualifications
What is Required
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (or equivalent experience) in areas such as computer science/engineering, IT/telecom, or related fields
Highly organized self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects whether working independently or as part of an assessment team
7-10 years of technical experience with the following: Conducting cyber risk & vulnerability assessments of operation technology systems in accordance with NIST, IEC/ISO and other applicable cybersecurity frameworks
Industrial Control Systems (ICS) end-point design, integration, and security architecture to include RTUs, PLCs, HMI, Historians, DCS, SCADA systems and associated networks
IT end-point security design, analysis, and implementation
Configuring, implementing, and maintaining stand-alone and centrally managed host-based security features (e.g., firewalls, anti-virus, IDS/SIEM, etc.)
Host-based vulnerability validation tools (e.g., Nessus, Metasploit, Kali Linux, etc.)
Extensive knowledge of Linux & Windows command line and scripting languages such as Python, Powershell, etc.
Strong interpersonal and technical communication skills (oral & written) geared towards technical report writing, client communication needs and team collaboration

Relevant industry certification(s) such as GICSP, CISSP, CISM, CEH, and other operating system certifications (e.g., Linux, Microsoft, Cisco, etc.)

What is Preferred
Experience with renewable energy, electric utility, oil & gas, and maritime OT infrastructures
Master's degree or emphasis in relevant discipline is an asset but not required
Experience with Identity & Access Management constructs (e.g., zero-trust, PKI, etc.)
Experience with cloud-based computing environments, particularly for OT & IoT systems
Experience with database & web-application systems design & security
Experience with data privacy regulations and design concepts

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act and New York City Salary Transparency Law, DNV provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado or New York City. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado and New York City, NY only, the range of starting yearly salary for this role is $130,000.00- $196,000.00.
