Title: Cyber Security System Administrator
Location: Pottstown, PA 19464
Duration: 6 Months Contract + Extension

Terms of Employment

  • W2 Contract, 6 Months (Possible Extension / Permanent Conversion)
  • Candidates must live within two-hours from the office location to report onsite daily, Monday – Friday, during normal business hours.

Overview
The Cyber System Administrator will be working as the primary operations support resource, but will have support from a centralized team of 15 peers for instances of escalated issues. The Cyber System Administrator will be responsible for the following:

  • Installs software releases, system upgrades, evaluates, and installs patches and resolves software related problems
  • Performs system backups and recovery
  • Maintains data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity
  • Uses pre-defined procedures to maintain and resolve issues related to cyber security at a Nuclear Station
  • Maintains and supports existing IT Cyber Security products and processes
  • Keeps IT Cyber systems up to date with latest patches and AV/IDS signatures
  • Reviews system logs and reports for indications of compromise
  • Performs antivirus updates
  • Administers cyber security monitoring systems
  • Images laptops
  • Performs walkdowns of systems and wireless scans

Overall, the Cyber System Administrator will be responsible for ensuring that systems are operating properly, and escalating issues to Cyber Analysts, Cyber Engineers, and/or Cyber Subject Matter Experts as documented in existing processes.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Possess a Bachelor’s degree in a technical/computer discipline and 1+ year of relevant experience in system administration – OR – possess an Associate’s degree and 3+ years of relevant experience in system administration – OR – possess a High School diploma and 5+ years of relevant experience in system administration
  • Working knowledge and understanding of Server and Workstation Operating Systems (primarily Windows), along with command prompt knowledge
  • Basic understanding of basic cyber security concepts and practices (antivirus updates, system monitoring, etc.)
  • Basic understanding of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies
  • Experience with identifying and solving problems following procedures and guidelines
  • Possess the ability to effectively communicate highly technical information in non-technical terminology
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
