Cyber Security Specialist – Richardson, TX 75080

System One has a 6 month temporary opportunity for a Cyber Security Specialist to support our client in Richardson.  The Cyber Security Specialist will work toward predetermined goals and objectives in the CYBER RISK and COMPLIANCE Team.  Will answer security and compliance questions from the business units and project teams, determine and pursue a course of action necessary to obtain desired results and make recommendations and changes to departmental policies and procedures as needed. While focusing on unclassified networks, you may also contribute to the cyber security of classified environments. Understanding of NIST 800-53 (Rev. 4 ) is highly recommended.

3. 6 month assignment to start w/ another 6 month extension for right candidate
4. If funding is approved, may have opportunity to convert direct in 2020

The Cyber Security Specialist requirements are:

• 7 -10 years of experience dealing with Compliance Assessments
• Cyber Security technical background who then switched to Cyber Risk and Compliance side of the business
• Experience conducting security assessments against enterprise security controls to validate functionality and effectiveness of control against established standards (e.g. NIST)
• Experience contributing to procedures, work instructions and checklists for improving internal cyber risk and security architecture activities
• Experience documenting and diagraming enterprise architecture documents to include security architecture and security engineering documents
