Cyber Security Network Architect 
REMOTE
Full-Time Role

Our client in the healthcare software industry, listed by Fortune magazine as one of the Global 5000 Fastest Growing companies, is adding a Cyber Security Architect to their team to work in conjunction with their Architectural Advisory Board, Cyber Security & Network Operations teams.

In this role, you will sit on the Architecture Review Board, design and architect security environment - Infosec, network and application security. Collaborate with firewall teams, infrastructure teams, development and architecture ensuring everything is secure. You must understand the cyber security threat landscape, manage the cybersecurity tech stack and environment: SIEM – Rapid7; Vulnerability – CrowdStrike; Authentication and authorization – SSO; Data Management & Data Leverage Security; Secure AI; Secure Application Design; oversee Security Compliance: ISO required; HIPAA preferred; PCI DSS & PII is helpful; oversee SaaS 70 SOC 1 vs. SOC 2 certification process; stand up a SOC and mentor a team of cyber security engineers.

Education and Experience Required:

  • At least five years of application development experience, combined with relevant Information Technology experience (such as system administration or network engineering)
  • Specific experience within some, or all, of the following: secure application architecture, computer networking, cryptography, security engineering and architecture, programming, vulnerability assessments, and operating systems.
  • Experience with secure application design, programming and scripting languages (React, PHP, Ruby, Python, PowerShell)
  • OWASP security concepts
  • Secure design of Linux/UNIX/Windows applications and infrastructure
  • Administration & hardening of cloud environments such as AWS or Azure
  • DNS security, DLP and IAM concepts and tooling
  • Working knowledge of popular cryptographic algorithms and protocols such as RSA, SHA, Kerberos, and TLS
  • Knowledge of Automation techniques (Terraform, Jamf, GPO, SSCM)
  • Should know Linux; Bash Shell Commands and Python
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure with limited supervision

Preferred Experience & Education:

  • Previous Healthcare industry experience
  • 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • Stakeholder engagement and project management experience
  • Experience with security best practices and standards: ISO27001, HIPAA/HITECH, HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-53
  • Administration experience in an Active Directory based identity environment including experience integrating Active Directory with SSO tooling (Okta, Ping Identity, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Intrusion Detection and/or Intrusion Prevention Systems - scoping, implementing, and maintaining.
  • Experience working with Cloud Security in AWS, Azure
