Cyber Security Lead

Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of the Cyber Security Lead position include the following:

• Implements Risk Management Framework (RMF) process on government systems.
• Interfaces with customers, managers, and other leads to gather requirements, recommend solutions, provide status, and manage issues/requests.
• Develops and implements information security procedures, system security plans, and POA&Ms for the operation of networked and standalone classified computers systems, as well as coordinating government agency approvals/accreditations.
• Conducts periodic system self-inspections/testing, weekly system audits, media reviews and investigations of computer security incidents, coordinating with other organizations for expertise as needed.
• Consults on the design, development, integration, and analysis of classified and CUI computing systems.
• Performs information system hardening configurations and remediation activities in accordance with company and customer standards.
• Identifies security vulnerabilities and needed security protection measures.
• Defines, implements and monitors security protection measures, and additional security requirements (i.e. awareness training, reporting, etc.).
• Implements Cyber Security best practices while balancing cost, schedule, performance and risk to ensure the development and delivery of secure and resilient capabilities.
• Designs, develops, and implements leading-edge analytical and technical methodologies, tools, and policies/standards to ensure a cyber-secure environment for customer organizations.

Required Qualifications: 

• Active Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) eligibility
• Bachelor's degree in a technical, business, operations, or equivalent field
• 5+ years of experience working with cyber security technology and systems
• DoD 8140.01 Certification (A+, Sec+ etc.)
• 5+ years of experience with evaluating Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages
• 5+ years of experiences using Federal Information Security Modernization Act (FISMA) security assessment tools
• 5+ years of experience with network vulnerability analysis and mitigation
• 2+ years of experience with DoD cyber policies
• 5+ years of experience with developing Interim Authorization to Test (IATT), and Authorization to Operate (ATO) packages for approval

Desired Qualifications:

• Cybersecurity certifications: CISSP, OSCP, CISM, CEH, GSEC.
• Extensive experience supporting the space, cyber, and intelligence communities.
• Experience as forward deployed and worked in a high threat and austere environment
• Master’s degree or higher in a technical, business, operations, or equivalent field
• Military service (active or reserve status)

Must be able to obtain, maintain and/or currently possess a security clearance.
