NJVC is glad to be supporting the Foundation Sustainment Services (FS2) contract that will establish the acquisition framework for delivering the full scope of information technology services and capabilities to support the Information Technology (IT) sustainment services for the Foundation GEOINT Integrated Program Office (IPF) and the FG capabilities/services in support of the NGA's Source Operations & Management Directorate's Foundation GEOINT Group (SF). NJVC is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to support an IC customer program, focused on the integration, operations, and sustainment of various systems both legacy and in development. The Cyber Security Engineer will need to be a self-starter with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, flexibility, good judgment, and the ability to coordinate multiple, concurrent tasks effectively. The Cyber Security Engineer works with internal team members to ensure the systems are functional, secure, and scalable, as well as the internal leadership and customer PMO and security counterparts as the single POC for all items related to security. The systems and network documentation and services developed will be used to collect and process data and improve the program's security infrastructure. The Cyber Security Engineer will design and develop cyber security technology along with the integration of new architectural features into existing infrastructures while maintaining the integrity and security of enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks. The Cyber Security Engineer shall have security Assessment and Authorization (A&A) expertise, including but not limited to ICD 503, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA), Xacta, and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). Responsibilities Work you'll do As a Cyber Security Engineer within our Foundation Sustainment Services ( FS2 ) team, you will: Lead multi-disciplined teams in designing and implementing the cyber security system architecture. Produce cyber security architectural artifacts. Provide architectural analysis of cyber security features and existing systems related to future needs and trends. Review and provide input to system requirements based on cyber security posture. Compile industry best practices and lessons learned into future iterations and new designs. Support the Engineering Review Board by evaluating artifacts for architectural compliance. Provide broad-based experience in the systems engineering lifecycle and apply the experience to specific cyber security initiatives relating to architectural design and development. Resolve architecture implementation issues during integration and testing. Advise and assist team members to deploy and configure collection services and tools. Work with team members to move data to the appropriate data stores. Other duties as assigned Qualifications BS degree and 5+ years of prior relevant experience OR Master's degree and 3+ years of prior relevant experience OR High school diploma or GED equivalent and 4+ years of additional experience instead of a degree Experience with Amazon Web Services (S3 Buckets, EC2, Reserved Instances, etc.) Experience with System Engineering documentation creation (VDDs, diagrams, etc.) Experience with team collaboration tools (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat) Active CompTIA Security+ or comparable IAT/IAM II/III certification Must possess and maintain a Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain an SCI Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others.
