Responsibilities:

  • Assist and maintain the security infrastructure
  • Articulate technical security requirements and the effectiveness of the IT security controls framework
  • Set application standards while reviewing internal and external properties/services to ensure they meet Security Standards
  • Assist the Contracts and Asset Administrator with placement and tracking of all IT assets (both hardware and software)
  • Collaborate with the business to understand and influence security requirements as they relate to risk and information protections
  • Collaborate with multiple groups to secure Cloud Technologies (Azure and AWS Specifically)
  • Research and recommend emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of security enhancements and development efforts
  • Develop and document security strategy and makes recommendations to IT Management and Strategic Software
  • Develop and maintain application security architecture artifacts (models, templates, standards, and procedures) that can be used to leverage security capabilities in projects and operations
  • Ensures that all applicable policies and standards are adhered to in the execution of duties
  • Maintains current knowledge of security techniques and information gathering techniques
  • Assist with security architecture and secure systems design throughout the enterprise
  • Report to management concerning residual risk, vulnerabilities, and other security exposures, including misuse of information assets and noncompliance
  • Develop and maintain an application security architecture process enabling the enterprise to develop and implement security solutions and capabilities that are clearly aligned with business, technology, and threat drivers.
  • Conduct security assessments of internal systems and applications as part of the overall risk management practice of the organization
  • Install, configure, and monitor SIEM, IDS/IPS, HIDS/NIDS, vulnerability scanning, anti-malware software, firewall and other tools across our client base to provide effective defense to reduce risk

Requirements:

  • Six (6) years of experience designing and supporting enterprise security solutions
  • Experience assessing application and network system vulnerabilities
  • Experience with cloud computing methods
  • Security certifications - CISSP, CISM, GSEC, CEH, OSCP, etc. (preferred)
  • Azure Solutions Architect (preferred)
  • Cloud Security (preferred)
  • Redhat Linux experience (preferred)
  • Oracle Database Security experience (preferred)
