The Cyber Security Engineer is the lead for Cyber Security related Product Development activities. He/she is responsible for developing the product level requirements and design, working with the various internal and external customer/suppliers to ensure precise implementation of Cyber Security Requirements. The Cyber Security engineer is expected to lead compliance efforts and to evaluate and recommend new emerging security solutions.

•Creation, maintenance, and management of Global Security design consistent with security policies 2.20%
•Ensure product design adheres to customer embedded security requirements through requirements analysis and interfacing with customer security leads 3.20%
•Establish and manage security work stream and security Feature Rollout Plan 4.10%
•Perform security risk assessments and penetration tests 5.5%
•Lead mitigation of security vulnerabilities identified in security design reviews 6. 5%
•Implement security specification change requests 7. 20%
•Review supplier vulnerability assessment and risk management plans
Required and/or preferred level of education, knowledge and skills that are necessary.
Education
BS in an engineering discipline – EE or Computer Science
Related Experience
5+ years in automotive embedded systems development
2+ years’ experience working in a connected vehicle Cyber Security related role
Extensive experince in testing of products conatining embedded systems
Strong background in Automotive Communication software design and implementation (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, AVB)
Strong background with embedded bootloaders and software update strategies (Over the Air) and knowledge of ASPICE and/or CMMI Process Model
Familiarity with Secure Hardware Extension (SHE)
Knowledge of Agile Software Development Methodology
Special Training or Competency
Technical Leadership: Includes being the subject matter expert in this field. Ability to motivate the organization, enforce product technical excellence and sponsor innovation among the team.
Observation, understanding, and execution of applicable company ISO/IATF certification standards related to the role and impact on the overall organization.
NSI Competencies
Monday-Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM. Off-hours as needed.
Travel Requirements
5% domestic and/or international.
If domestic travel is necessary, valid drivers’ license is required.
If international travel is necessary, valid passport is required.
