Wood is currently recruiting for a Discipline Technical Authority for Cybersecurity within the Automation and Control business unit. This is a technical leadership within the organization, to provide Community of Practice leadership for the design and implementation of Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity for Process Control and Safety Systems computing and network infrastructures. The position includes the following responsibilities:

  • Identification, qualification, development and vetting of Subject Matter Experts (SME) and expertise in the practice area
  • Succession Planning for Technical Leadership positions
  • Sponsor, schedule and / or plan in-house training, utilizing staff SMEs and outside vendors
  • Support project Technical Assurance (cold-eyes reviews, technical audits, risk assessments)
  • Provide Technical rulings or recommendations when required to resolve conflict of opinion in practice area
  • Support organizational competency management
    • Develop minimum competency criteria
    • Assist in competency evaluations
  • Maintain organizational currency on applicable industry codes and standards in practice area
  • Develop standards, processes and procedures in area of practice
  • Act as technical consultant in practice area for projects and Business Development

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Industrial Control Systems design, deployment or administration and maintenance
  • 10 Years experience in control or information systems security
  • Demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise of Network Systems and Industrial IT
  • Strong understanding of principles of Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity
  • Strong understanding of common operating systems and virtualized system environments
  • Familiar with the U.S. NIST Framework for ICS Cybersecurity and IEC 62443 Standards
  • (Preferred) Industry certification in Industrial Control Systems Cybersecurity
  • An IT Power User, including database applications, IT hardware and software infrastructure
  • Familiar with data-centric design principles and practices
  • Understanding of Risk Assessment and Risk-Based design principles
  • Established communication, mentoring and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lead teams and network across a broad geographic organization
  • Experience developing and writing standards of practice, specifications and procedures
  • Experience with all Microsoft Office products, including Excel and Visio
