POSITION SUMMARY:
 

The Associate Director of Operations Cybersecurity will serve as the global focal point for cybersecurity technology programs, projects and best practices in Linde plc’s Center of Excellence (COE) team. Reporting to the Director of Plant Operations Efficiency this role will provide leadership and engineering expertise to a global team of cybersecurity and automation experts supporting Linde plc’s manufacturing facilities globally, with focus on Air Separation, CO2 and Hydrogen plants. The role will coordinate closely with corporate IT, segment and regional technical experts and operations leaders to implement risk-based cybersecurity practices to ensure the safety and integrity of manufacturing operations systems, including plant Scada, HMI, PLC/DCSs, remote operations capabilities etc.

 

The role will manage a team of cybersecurity experts who develop and implement the security architecture of the operations network and administer policies and systems like Active Directory, Anti-Virus/EDR, Windows patching etc. Close interaction with Corporate IT, Engineering and segment businesses is expected.  This key role will be expected to write and implement globally harmonized operations cybersecurity standards in alignment with corporate IT requirements as well as make complex decisions that will serve to set the direction and strategy of Linde plc’s manufacturing operations cybersecurity infrastructure.

 
Primary responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain cybersecurity standards, policies, guidelines, procedures and best practices in support of Linde plc needs, primarily for the air separation, CO2 and Hyco businesses in full compliance with governing IT policies

  • Develop, implement and maintain efficient, centralized management of key services like patch management, Anti-virus technology, Active Directory implementation etc. in close coordination with segment and regional businesses

  • Ensure full cybersecurity incident management (detection, prevention, response) work process is implemented within the NIST framework

  • Maintain the gathering and monthly publishing of cybersecurity level 1& 2 KPIs. Collaborate with segment leaders to identify and close gaps

  • Prepare regular senior management and executive report outs on state of operations cybersecurity

  • Conduct regular (weekly, monthly, quarterly) reviews with, and provide direction to, global operations network Infrastructure and Security Teams to ensure the safe, reliable and secure operations of supported control systems and associated manufacturing operations.

  • Facilitate team meetings and decisions; provide technical direction to team members.

  • Interface with internal and external customers/suppliers to continue developing and deploying best in class and cost-effective cybersecurity technologies

  • Keep current with state-of-the-art tools, design practices and concepts through cross collaboration, external conferences and vendor engagements etc.

 

Additional responsibilities:

  • Scope and implement applicable new technology developments to keep Linde plc businesses one step ahead of evolving and advanced cyber threats

  • Conduct periodic vulnerability and security assessments and implement a response plan to close gaps

  • Drive enhanced level of security awareness within the Linde plc operating businesses through training, newsletters, short videos etc.

  • Continue personal development to keep current on latest cybersecurity tools, systems and best practices.
