Description

Our cybersecurity test team is searching for new members that can help form and manage multi-skilled test team members and efforts to conduct system security analysis on systems and/or software to understand and identify vulnerabilities. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced multi-disciplinary environment, learning new technology areas, this is the place for you. We provide a number of opportunities to learn, ranging from on-the-job training with other team members, to formal courses for unique technology areas.

We are looking for people that can bring a strong foundation in one of the listed areas and are motivated to learn the others. Position responsibilities primarily include program management support functions to align customer expectations and scheduling of meetings and activities for cybersecurity test engineering.

This position provides support to the 48th Cyberspace Test Squadron at Eglin AFB, FL, and the DoD Cybersecurity community, to plan and conduct Cybersecurity Developmental and Operational Test & Evaluation for major DoD programs. This position requires in-office work, with some flexibility to work out of the office environment and is subject to current requirements. When executing test events, work hours can be extended and may vary. Test events are typically 5-10 days in length. Currently 2-3 days per week in the office, when not testing. Test schedule is typically 1-2 weeks per month but varies. This support includes the following:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

+ Provide oversite of cyber test events, to include test planning, coordination, execution, data reduction, analysis, and reporting

+ Track test requirements for team and assist team in meeting those requirements

+ Attend meetings with customers to help test team prepare for events

+ Document and communicate test results effectively to technical and non-technical user groups in written and oral formats

+ Develop test strategies for cybersecurity testing on DoD aircraft and weapon systems

+ Coordinate security analysis activities on systems and/or software to understand and identify vulnerabilities

+ Provide technical guidance and expertise to test teams

Required SkillsRequired Experience

Required Experience:

One of the following combinations is required:

+ Bachelor's degree in a related field and over 5-8 years of relevant technical experience in the field of cybersecurity and/or IT systems.

+ Associate's degree in a related field and 9-12 years of relevant technical experience in the field of cybersecurity and/or IT systems.

+ HSD and 13-16 years of relevant technical experience in the field of cybersecurity and/or IT systems.

+ Job experience in Aircraft and/or Weapon systems architecture/avionics

+ Passionate about cybersecurity and delivering products that exceeds expectations

+ Exceptional leadership skills

+ Exceptional organization, decision making, and verbal and written communication skills

+ Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills

+ Excellent self-initiative and self-motivation with the ability to work under minimal supervision

+ Ability to work effectively in small and large team settings to solve complex problems

+ Travel up to 15-20 weeks per year, potentially to worldwide sites

+ Active SECRET clearance and be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret - (Single Scope Background Investigation). US Citizenship

+ Must be able to obtain DOD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification (Security+) within 6 months of hire, and maintain certification throughout employment

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

+ Prior experience managing aviation related projects/teams

+ Prior experience with cable fault isolation
