(Cyber Security) ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer oriented Systems Engineer to join our team in Stafford VA to provide unparalleled support to our customer and to begin an exciting and rewarding career within ManTech. The Systems Engineer will perform technical planning, proof of concept, system integration, verification and validation, risk, supportability and effectiveness analysis for total systems.

This position requires an active DOD TS/SCI clearance.

Candidate must be 8570 IAT Level II compliant and have at least a COMPTIA Security+ certification.

Knowledge/Experience:

Bachelor's degree (in Engineering, Computer Science or related field) or equivalent. Five or more years of related Network and/or Network Security experience. Experience maintaining Enterprise Cyber Security Engineering requirements. 8570 compliant.

Knowledge of standard DoD and Marine Corps concepts, practices and procedures. Familiarity with Navy/Marine Corps interoperability requirements is preferred.

Should include at least three (3) of the following:

  • Set-up, configuration and support of internal and external networks.
  • Identifying and analyzing systems requirements.
  • Developing and maintaining system applications and security.
  • Developing and maintaining network configurations.
  • Troubleshooting network performances issues.
  • Providing user support and guidance.
  • Recommending and implementing upgrades, patches, new applications and new equipment.
  • Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans and continuous monitoring plans.
  • Ensuring proper documentation, coordination and maintenance of multiple systems.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assist with system integration for systems using Windows server 2012 R2/2016 and Linux type operating systems. Other technologies to include Hyper-V, ArcGIS, Geospatial applications, and directory services, i.e. Active Directory or LDAP.
  • Maintains Enterprise Cyber Security Engineering requirements utilizing of the following tools: Nessus Security Center and scanners, Nessus Agents, ACAS, and others as needed.
  • Apply Cyber Security Engineering and Network Security Engineering expertise to optimize systems’ protection posture.
  • Recommend and participate in activities that make the vulnerability assessments more efficient and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Provide and participate in A&A support for the projects.
  • Develop disaster recovery plans, high availability/failover/built-in redundancy processes.
  • Follow Agile Scrum methodology.
  • Contribute to the deliverables for this effort.
  • Some travel possible.
