BravoTECH, a leader in IT staffing and staff augmentation services, seeks Cyber Security Engineer for our preferred client in their Spring, TX location.  The qualified candidate will possess 5+ years of experience.

Description:

Cyber Security Engineer to be engaged in the implementation and delivery of cyber security products and services. This position requires Operational Technology (OT) experience and preferably related to the offshore or maritime industries. The candidate will be a familiar with the areas of IT/OT Security, Supervisor Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), DCS engineering, sales, and customer service with regards to North America and the rest of the world. In addition to delivery and execution, the engineer will be tasked with development and testing of various security features to meet customer or regulatory cyber security requirements.

Responsibilities for this Position Include:

This position is responsible for the execution of cyber security products and services in addition to the development of proposals, providing continuous sales support, and ultimately supporting customers with maintaining compliance and cyber security.

Some of the key responsibilities include customer scope review, managing projects with specific scopes, and some difficulty while expected to gather and interpret complex, qualitative and quantitative data, in addition to developing an enhanced working knowledge of cyber security principles and elements.

The candidate must have enough knowledge and abilities to:

  • Conduct Cyber Vulnerability Assessments
  • Conduct Cyber-Related Regulatory audits
  • Liaison with clients and partners in professional atmosphere
  • Develop project documentation
  • Successfully assist with onsite implementations of security solutions as needed
  • Prepare and conduct technical presentations
  • Create technical reports and progress reports for projects

The candidate is expected to continuously improve self and become a subject matter expert by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, attending conferences, maintaining personal networks, in addition to presenting for professional organizations.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

  • Must have experience in computer and network systems and including IT/OT security
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the capability to align available solutions to unusual and complex problems with assistance from supervisor
  • Must be able to demonstrate understanding of OT security principals, embedded security, and network platforms.
  • Must possess excellent presentation skills, including presentation development, numeracy and analysis skills, and advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook
  • Must possess excellent English oral and written communication skills; demonstrated capability to produce reports suitable for delivery to both technical and non-technical audiences, and strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Must have the ability to productively work under normal supervision with demanding due dates
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%, domestic and international

Minimum years of Experience

  1 years in OT/ICS cyber security, OT/ICS compliance, or OT/ICS audit

Required/Preferred Education Requirements

  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science or demonstrated equivalent work-related experience

Required/Preferred Professional Requirements

  • Hands on technical configuration and implementation of cyber security standards and controls, required
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 27001, ISA/IEC 62443, NIST 800-53, or DISA STIGs, preferred
  • Experience in presenting to upper management and executive-level clients, preferred
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain or maintain a U.S. security clearance, required
  • Proficiency-level professional certification (i.e., CompTIA Security+), preferred
  • Experience in offshore and maritime environments, preferred
  • Experience developing and delivering training to clients, preferred
